Simple, honest terms

These terms govern your use of the Global Skimboarding Federation website. They are written to be read, not just scrolled past. Effective August 2026.

This is an informational website operated by a young nonprofit federation. We describe programs that are growing and changing, we protect the Federation's name and crest, and we point you to the right people when you have questions.

Informational site

This site describes the Federation, its mission and its programs. It is provided for information, without warranty of any kind. We work to keep it accurate and current, and we correct it when we learn something needs correcting.

Membership, honestly framed

Membership benefits described on this site are subject to program development and applicable competition rules. Membership does not guarantee competition entry, qualification or certification.

The crest is the Federation's

The Global Skimboarding Federation name and crest belong to the Federation. Ask before you use them, and we will usually be glad you did.

This website is operated by the Global Skimboarding Federation ("GSF", "we"), a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, EIN 42-3150113. The site provides information about the Federation, its mission, membership, programs, events and integrity commitments. By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The content on this site is provided for general information about the Federation and the sport of skimboarding. It is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. GSF is an early-stage federation whose programs are actively developing; descriptions of programs, events, standards and pathways reflect current plans and may change as those programs mature. Items marked "In Development" are exactly that: in development, not yet in operation.

Membership benefits described on this site are subject to program development and to applicable competition rules as they are established. Membership does not automatically guarantee entry or qualification for a particular competition, and membership alone does not constitute certification as a GSF judge, official, coach or instructor. Certification requirements will be established separately. Youth memberships require parental or guardian consent.

The Global Skimboarding Federation name, the GSF mark and the federation crest belong to the Federation. You may not use them in a way that suggests affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement without GSF's prior written permission. Content on this site may be shared for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution to the Federation; any other use requires permission. Requests: contact@gsfmail.org.

Donations and payments are processed by third parties, including Donorbox and PayPal, and your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. This site may link to other third-party websites for your convenience. GSF does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their content, terms or practices.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GSF and its officers, directors, volunteers and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
