Bill "Beaker" Bryan is a Founder and President of the Global Skimboarding Federation.

Bill has devoted his life to the advancement, documentation, promotion and support of skimboarding. As a professional skimboarder, filmmaker, producer, event organizer, mentor, educator and lifelong ambassador for the sport, he has spent decades studying the ocean, checking conditions, finding the right beaches and waves, filming athletes, producing skimboarding media, supporting competitions, educating younger riders and inspiring generations of skimboarders.

By the time Bill was 20 years old, his involvement in skimboarding had helped bring the sport to six continents.

His international work continued through projects including The Bomb, which helped expand skimboarding exposure into Japan, and his participation in the international Wave Loch Tour, which expanded skimboarding exposure throughout Europe. Bill competed on and won the international Wave Loch artificial-wave tour developed by Tom Lochtefeld, demonstrating skimboarding's crossover potential and helping bring additional recognition to the sport on the world stage.

He also participated in crossover tours, exhibitions, media projects and events involving surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding, helping introduce skimboarding to wider action-sports audiences.

Throughout his career, Bill has worked with influential organizations and brands including Victoria Skimboards, Laguna Surf and Sport, Catch Surf and the X Games, while continuing his independent filmmaking and media work through 10th St Bros Productions. Through 10th St Bros, Bill helped create, document, promote and preserve decades of skimboarding culture, capturing important athletes, locations, competitions, innovations and milestones in the development of the sport.

Bill also brings extensive experience in event production, media production, education, athlete development and youth mentorship. His commitment to skimboarding has always extended far beyond competition. Supporting the sport has been a daily pursuit: from checking the waves and determining which beaches have the best conditions, to getting athletes and cameras to the right locations, documenting progression, mentoring riders, producing events and media, and continually looking for opportunities to expose new audiences to skimboarding.

Bill's lifelong connection to Laguna Beach skimboarding and the Bryan family's history in the sport provide GSF with a direct connection to the athletes, innovators, culture and communities that helped shape modern wave-riding skimboarding.

As President, Bill helps guide the Federation's sporting vision, athlete relationships, historical preservation, education, competition development, community outreach, events, media and worldwide advancement of skimboarding.

Miriam Lew is a Founder and serves as Secretary and Treasurer of the Global Skimboarding Federation.

Miriam brings a diverse background spanning business, finance, communications, mass media, event production, media production, education and more than two decades of direct involvement in the skimboarding community. She attended the University of California, Davis, graduating in three years with a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Mass Media.

Her professional background includes founding and operating a real estate, mortgage and escrow company that worked with more than 100 banks and lending institutions nationally, giving her extensive experience in financial services, administration, business development, operations and organizational management.

For approximately 20 years, Miriam helped produce and support 10th St Bros Productions films, events, athlete projects and media productions. Her work included media production, event support, travel, athlete promotion, educational outreach and helping introduce skimboarding culture to broader audiences.

Miriam spent more than 10 years traveling in Mexico while raising Indy Bryan and Bunny Bryan, remaining deeply involved in skimboarding communities throughout the country. Her experience extended through areas including Cabo, Melaque, Manzanillo and Oaxaca, where she supported the development and promotion of competitive skimboarding, youth participation, and athletes who went on to become world champions and highly accomplished competitors.

Raising her children within an international skimboarding environment also gave Miriam firsthand experience with youth athlete development, education, mentorship, travel, competitions, media, event production and the needs of families supporting young athletes.

Miriam later brought together her experience in business, finance, communications, media, education, event production and international skimboarding to help establish the Global Skimboarding Federation. She helped guide GSF through its formation as a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation and its recognition as a 501(c)(3) public charity, while helping develop the organizational framework needed to support the Federation's programs and international growth.

As Secretary and Treasurer, Miriam helps oversee the Federation's administration, financial stewardship, organizational development, nonprofit operations, programs, partnerships, fundraising, education initiatives, events and international expansion.
